Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit Competition Results Announced
The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition (HKIWSC) – considered to be the largest pan-Asian wine and spirit competition, is today pleased to announce the winning wines and spirits most suited to the Asian taste profile following four days of blind tasting by Asia’s top palates.
The judges from Hong Kong, India, China, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand - evaluated products entered from countries around the world including Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain, Italy and Argentina.
Food and wine matching was very popular, seeing wines entered and tasted with Peking Duck, Cantonese Dim Sum, Kung Pao Chicken, Braised Abalone and Sashimi.
The 2011 competition also saw the HKIWSC accept all spirits entries.
The results have been announced to coincide with the Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair. Visit the HKIWSC booth (3CON-021) to collect a results booklet.
The trophies will be formally presented at a Gala Dinner and Awards Presentation on the evening of Thursday 3rd November 2011 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. Trophy results will be available to view on the HKIWSC website as they are announced.
